Ride the authentic full size old Northern Pacific train in Wickersham, Washington, USA.

See the steam engine that is 100 years old, ride the 100 year old hand car show on this page.  Enjoy riding the little railroad work speeder along the shore of Lake Whatcom, and stroll into the train's coffee shop car for an on-board snack.  The friendliest excursion railroad in all America says "All Aboard" for the 1 1/2 hour trip.

The Lake Whatcom Railway is a dedicated living preservation of the Pacific Northwest's railway heritage.  For political reasons the railway currently uses a diesel locomotive.  The passenger coaches date to the early 1900s and were used for many years on the Northern Pacific passenger trains out of Seattle.  Some ancient wooden freight cars from the Great Northern Railway are also on the premises.
